My Story
Being asked to talk about myself is not something I usually have a problem with but my musical background is pretty weird so bear with me. I’m a classically trained singer with a bachelor of music degree from the University of Glasgow who was recently awarded the fellowship of the London College of Music. As a qualified music and singing teacher, I’m constantly surrounded by music making and I love it! Having performed on the main stage at the O2 Arena in London and in the Albert Hall both to capacity audiences, I’m no stranger to the large stage. Equally, though, the years of experience I have fronting bands of all types, enables me to create that great relationship between singer and audience in all sizes of venues. As a singer/songwriter, I have toured extensively and released albums & EPs under my own name. I have recorded and performed to critical acclaim with various bands in the past, Blues Matters Magazine describing my voice as “nothing less than superb”. I feel that performing simply with voice and guitar accompaniment has brought out the best in me and our songs. I do feel the result is a very exciting approach to the singer/songwriter experience. I can't just stand up and go through the motions. I firmly believe that acoustic doesn't have to mean dull or bland.
